I write to you today with a heavy heart, as I recently lost my son due to medical malpractice.

His suffering was prolonged and unnecessary, and I am still grappling with the pain and devastation that has left our family forever changed. As I reflect on the impact of medical malpractice on countless families, I am reminded that every life lost is a tragedy that could have been avoided.

I urge you to sign the proposed Grieving Families Act, as it is a crucial step towards protecting the lives of New Yorkers and holding those responsible for medical malpractice accountable.

By signing this bill, you will be sending a strong message that the well-being of our citizens is paramount and that we will no longer tolerate the harm caused by medical negligence.
